Call (810) 869-6086

to connect to our scheduler,

or to leave a message for Nicole.

*****Please text (810) 869-6086 to check in when you arrive for your appointment*****

We are currently booking 4+ months out for appointments.

We understand that this is frustrating!

If you are having an urgent issue

(heavy bleeding, possible infection, significant pain, etc.),

we are not usually able to work those issues in quickly.

We may be able to take over your care at a future date,

but we ask you work with another provider who can see you on shorter notice.

Especially for conditions like bleeding after menopause,

waiting months to see Dr Kling delays your care

as she will likely refer you to a colleague if you need surgery, like a D&C.

Dr Kling is one of the few physicians in the area that has specialized

training in perimenopause and menopause care.

We are thankful that we are able to provide this much-needed service!

But - there are only so many hours available each day...

and we do not double-book because we do not want patients to feel rushed...

This leads to a long wait time.

We usually book an hour for an initial perimenopause or menopause visit.

Dr gets to know you and your goals, then reviews your history and symptoms.

The rest of that time is spent getting a thorough education

about the impacts of hormonal changes,

and the options available to you for treatment.

***We will not prescribe medications for patients we have never seen in the office,

even if the patient has safely been on them for a long time.

This is a medical-legal issue, nothing personal.***

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We now have a local individual do our general scheduling.
When you call 810-869-6086, you will hear a recorded message - please listen to the entire message
so the system will register your chosen option.
If you want to schedule an appointment, press 1 on your phone
to be forwarded to the scheduler.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Have your insurance information handy as it will be required to enter you into our system

and allow you to be put on the schedule.

Some insurances allow verification before the appointment.

Having that information allows us to make sure your visit should be covered

(according to your agreement with your insurance) prior to your visit.

That way, if we see there is a problem, we can contact you before you come in.

You do not have to give the scheduler a lot of information

about the reason for your visit, just a basic theme:

Annual Exam, Menopause, Hormone Replacement,

Birth Control, Low Libido, etc, is all you need to say.

Sometimes more information is helpful; if you are comfortable sharing, please do -

the scheduler can add it to your appointment details and Dr will see it.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Our scheduler should answer their phone Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm (excluding holidays).
Rarely, if the line is very busy, calls will be forwarded to voicemail.
Please leave your name and number and your call will be returned.
If you call at another time, you will have the option to leave a message
and they will call you back when they are open again.
Our scheduler will not be able to make same-day appointments.
If you think you need a same day visit, please text, or call and choose prompt 3 to forward to Nicole's phone.
She will get your message faster if you text rather than call.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

If you want to talk to Nicole, call 810-869-6086 and press 3 to leave a message and she will return your call.

If you prefer, you can also text that you would like her to call and she will follow up with you.

Unfortunately, the schedulers cannot transfer you back to Nicole's phone,

you will need to call us back and choose option 3.

The entire medical staff is only Dr Kling and Nicole

(along with the invaluable support of the schedulers and billers).

There are lots of times they are both busy engaging in patient care

and not immediately available to handle calls and texts.

Please be mindful of that - if you prefer an office that always has a live

person to answer questions instantly, we may not be a good fit for you.

Just call our main number 810-869-6086 and choose option 2 to be connected to them.

Dr. Kling's Background

Dr. Martinique Kling is a board certified obstetrician-gynecologist practicing in Fenton, Michigan. She focused on reproduction and womens’ health while earning her bachelor's degree in physiology from Michigan State University in 2002. Dr. Kling went on to graduate with her medical degree from MSU College of Human Medicine in 2006. She completed residency at Hurley Medical Center in Flint, MI in 2010, where her love of teaching blossomed, and she was awarded a Resident Teacher Award by the medical students. She has been a practicing general OB/GYN since 2010, and completed her program in Sexuality Counseling & Sexuality Education from the University of Michigan in spring 2020.

Dr. Kling’s areas of interest encompass wide ranging healthy and disease conditions as they relate to pregnancy, reproduction, & sexual function:

general gynecologic care with development of a close working, high trust relationship between patient and provider;

  • postpartum depression and anxiety;

  • sexual changes that occur during pregnancy, postpartum & motherhood;

  • personalized consultation regarding sexual dysfunction, desire & discrepancy issues, painful intercourse and/or medical examinations, and sexual changes during and after menopause; and

  • sexual and reproductive function in patients following injury or trauma, with disabilities, chronic illnesses, disorders of sexual development, and transsexual folks with female anatomy, and those in nontraditional relationships.

Dr. Kling’s passion for patient education to increase understanding of both health and illness is woven into every encounter.  Her greatest joy has been seeing the impact of arming her patients with the information they needed to reduce their fears and misconceptions in pregnancy, during their reproductive lifespans, and beyond.

Dr. Kling has seen the need for women to understand how their bodies and minds must be prepared for sexual encounters to be fulfilling. She is expanding her intimate conversations with individual patients through her counseling practice to bring insight and techniques to improve womens’ sexual lives for years to come.

In 2024, Dr. Kling completed her specialized training and passed the certifying exam for the Menopause Society, earning her the designation of a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner. This expertise allows her to provide thorough, evidence-based education about the hormonal changes of mid-life, as well as prescribe from a variety of safe and effective treatments to help manage symptoms.

All Patients Welcome

Dr. Kling specializes in the health care of patients who have breast tissue, vulvas, and/or vaginas - or whatever unique combination of those a person has. If you need a provider who cares for male sex organs, we can help you find one.

Individualized Care

Dr. Kling will do her best to honor the unique history each patient brings with them. If you have been too nervous or traumatized to engage with the medical system, she will work with you to determine what testing and treatments are appropraite for your situation. No procedures will ever be forced, and she will make every effort to be patient and gentle when you are ready to proceed.
